Andrea Bonamico, is currently the Director of Choral Activities at U32 High School and Middle School. She received her Bachelor of Music and Education degree from Bucknell University and studied musical theater at Circle in the Square Theater School in NYC. In 2010 Andrea began work on her Master䴜s Degree in Music Education at Columbia University䴜s Teachers College. This three-year program will focus on applied music education with a strong emphasis on assessment and curriculum development.
Starting in 2010 she will serve as director of the new showchoir program at Burlington䴜s Flynn Theater. She has appeared on stage in a number of theatrical productions including Michael John LaChiusa's The Wild Party (Sally), for Columbia Stages in New York City; The Last Five Years (Cathy), West Side Story (Maria), The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Rosa), Singin䴜 in the Rain (Kathy Selden), A... My Name is Alice, Songs for a New World, Chicago, and others. She has also been featured in a number of professional cabarets, recitals and benefit performances throughout the region.
